Welcome to my storytime blog! I have created a Virtual Storytime room with some stories and fun activities for you to do at home when you can't make it to the library. Stories and activities are changed every couple of weeks. You can also access past story blogs by using the sidebar search box.

Stay at Home

Since the stay-at-home mandate, many companies have been generous in opening up their online resources to ease the stay-at-home/no school blues. I have included these online resources on a separate page (see right column), and will alphabetically add to the list as resources become available.

STORYTIME:

My favorite part of every week is our Storytime. This story, by Robert McCloskey, is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy the reading too.

STEM:

We need to wash our hands regularly, or use hand sanitizer, to kill germs. How does this help keep us safe from germs?

How does hand sanitizer kill germs? - Mystery Science

Here is another short video with tips on fighting germs. Can you think of other things you can do to fight germs?

ACTIVITY:

  • Get your crayons, markers, pencils, or paints, and make a POSTER showing how you can fight those germs. Then, when the library is open again, please bring your creations to show Miss Love. Or, ask your grownup to post a picture of your poster on Clymer Library's Facebook page. And, remember, keep fighting those germs!
