Welcome to my storytime blog! I have created a Virtual Storytime room with some stories and fun activities for you to do at home when you can't make it to the library. Stories and activities are changed every couple of weeks. You can also access past story blogs by using the sidebar search box.

Fairytale Fun

"I knew who I was this morning, but I've changed a few times since then." - Lewis Carroll, from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

STORYTIME:

Snoring Beauty
by Bruce Hale; illustrated by Howard Fine

The Great Fairytale Disaster
by David Conway; illustrated by Melanie Williamson

ACTIVITIES:
  • SNORING BEAUTY ACTIVITY From author Bruce Hale's website is his activity guide for elementary users on the above story.

  • FAIRYTALE RE-TELL Choose your favorite fairy tale to share with your family. Make it extra fun by using props from your toy stash to help you tell the tale. Make it even more exciting by asking other family members to play different parts in the story.

    OR

  • MIXED-UP FAIRYTALE RE-TELL Make the retelling of your favorite fairytale a little sillier (like our second storybook reading) by having your family members each taking one-minute turns (use a timer) to tell parts of their stories. How silly and fun can you make your stories?

Look for more stories and activities in the coming days.
Remember, make it a great day, keep safe, and keep on reading!
